During his medicine thesis in Madagascar, SmartBiotic CEO Mathieu Raad M.D. observed the wide availability of last-resort antibiotics in public markets. Fueled by a serious misuse of drugs, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) was already the main cause of his patient’s death.
Thus was born SmartBiotic in 2021.
